Southeast Asia has long been one of the favorite destinations for adventurous travelers. Ancient ruins, dense jungles, wonderful beaches, interesting wildlife, different cultures all set the scene for an active and adventurous holiday.

Southeast Asia is culturally rich and breathtakingly beautiful. Markets and bazaars, ancient ruins constructed by great civilizations long ago, temples dotting the green hillsides and the cities, white sand beaches on small islands, modern cities and old villages where life goes on as it has for centuries, rice terraces and exotic food - no wonder that this area has long been a favorite destination for adventurous travelers.
Malaysia boasts adventure activities for all ages and abilities to enjoy. You can raft down glorious rivers, swim or dive in crystal clear waters, explore caves, spot beautiful wildlife and trek through lush national parks. The population of Malaysia is formed of Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous groups, giving the country a wonderful tapestry of cultures, religions, festivals, cuisine and architecture.
Thailand is Southeast Asia's most popular destination. The country has a unique blend of natural scenery, famed hospitality, extraordinary temples, gorgeous cuisine and stunning cities from every major period in history. For travelers seeking an adventure holidays, Thailand has a lot to offer; from sailing or diving at the many islands surrounded by coral reefs, elephant riding, boating on the rivers that run through rice fields and cities, to traveling through the various regions of Thailand.
Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam have all been largely isolated from tourism until the 1990s. As a result, adventure travel in these countries offers you an unparalleled taste of traditional Southeast Asian life. Laos is still today largely isolated from foreign influence and has a lot to offer, from the mighty Mekong River and rugged Anamite Mountains to bamboo forests and moonscape valleys filled with ancient ruins. One of the best ways to explore this rich scenery is to go by bus, bike, trek or take a slow boat down the river. Both Cambodia and Vietnam has a more developed tourist industry, but are still very authentic, especially if you stay away from the tourist spots.
Malaysia and Indonesia are both fascinating blends of several ethnicities. Their relative lack of tourism makes them great places to explore. Natural wonders like rainforests, volcanoes and exotic wildlife await more adventurous travelers. Indonesia is the largest archipelagos country in the world, with more than 18,000 islands.
