Among the most popular destinations for playing golf in Southeast Asia are: Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore, but golf is plaid almost everywhere in Southeast Asia.

There are more than 300 golf courses in Thailand, and more than 2 million Thai's play golf, so Thailand is a great destination for playing golf. Many of the golf courses are of a high standard with impressive clubhouses where you will find good facilities including full locker-rooms and fine restaurants. For most of the year, sunshine will accompany each day on the course, but some visitors may not be prepared for the heat, and make sure to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water while playing. Some of the most popular clubs are private and for members only and research is therefore required beforehand. It can be a good idea to get someone to arrange your golf tour, someone who may grant access the private clubs.

Malaysia is wonderful golfing destination with a great diversity of its courses. They can be found high in the mountains, along the seashore, on tropical islands, amidst rain forests and in the heart of cities. As well as offering spectacular scenery, many of these courses are equipped with the best facilities and amenities to be found anywhere. Malaysia has become an ideal destination for combining a memorable holiday with an exciting game of golf.

Indonesia also have some excellent golfing opportunities, around Jakarta alone, there are about 25 world class golf courses, and there are golf hotels and resorts spread all over Indonesia.

Singapore has a surprising large number of golf courses, but most of the best ones are run by private clubs and open to members and their guest only. The main exceptions are the Sentosa Golf Club and the Marina Bay Golf Course.
