Hua Hin is one of Thailand's most popular tourist destinations amongst domestic and international visitors.
Hotels in Hua Hin
Hua Hin is located on the east coast of Thailand, about 2 hours drive to the south of Bangkok. Hua Hin has since the 1920s been the summer residence of the Royal Family of Thailand, and also a popular beach resort among Thais. In the last couple of decades an increased number of international hotels have been built, mainly to accommodate international visitors.
While most visitors go to Hua Hin for its extensive 7 km (5 mi) beach, with all the activities usually connected to a beach holiday, golf has become especially popular, with Hua Hin increasingly being recognized as one of Thailand's premier golfing destinations. The town hosted its first Asian tour event in 2009 at the Black Mountain course, and other first class courses in easy reach include Royal Hua Hin, Thailand's first golf course when it opened in 1924, Banyan, Palm Hills, Majestic Creek, Lake View and Springfield. Green-fees and other costs are currently among the lowest in the world while course maintenance and service are in top.
Hua Hin is also famed for its fresh seafood, and there are plenty of local restaurants as well as hotel restaurants where it is served. Naresdamri Road is a favoured place due to its inexpensive restaurants and romantic views. This area is the site of the Hua Hin Fishing Habour, with fresh out of the water seafood being served.
Hua Hin has a tropical climate with average daily temperature consistent at around 27C (80F) throughout the year. The hottest months are March through May. The rainy season begins in June and ends in November, although showers do not tend to last for long. The best time to visit is December through February, but in general it is pleasant all year round.
