Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is the capital and by far the largest city of Malaysia, it is centrally located on the west coast of the Malayasian Peninsula.

Kuala Lumpur Hotels

Kuala Lumpur probably has the worlds cheapest 5-star hotels, great shopping and even better food. Kuala Lumpur though is not one of those cities with many must see attractions. The main joy of Kuala Lumpur is to just wander around and see what is going on, do some shopping and eating. Among the few attractions are the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and other colonial era building surrounding the Dataran Merdeka square in the city center. Within the city center is also the fascinating narrow streets of Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur's traditional commercial district, with its many Chinese shops and places to eat. Another area of interest could be the Golden Triangle, although predominantly a shopping and night-life district, it is also home to the Petronas Twin Towers, once the world's tallest building.

Kuala Lumpur is served by two airports. The main airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), is located about 50 km (31 mi) south of the city, and connects the city with direct flights to destinations in six continents around the world. The other airport is Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, formerly known as Subang International Airport. It is located adjacent to the KLIA and serves flights to certain holiday island destinations in Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur has a year round equatorial tropical rain forest climate, which is warm and sunny, along with abundant rainfall, especially during the northeast monsoon season from October to March. Temperatures tend to remain constant, with maximum around 31C to 33C (88F to 91F) and minimum around 22C to 23C (72F to 74F). June and July are the relatively dry months.
